Course Overview

This Open and Distance Learning (ODL) version of the Biomedical Science programme provides the same research-driven, theoretical, and practical foundation as its onsite counterpart. Students gain core competencies in biological and medical sciences, laboratory techniques, and biomedical research, while benefiting from flexible learning formats. The programme includes extensive research components and concludes with an industrial placement for professional readiness.

Entry Requirements

Language Requirement: MUET Band 3 or IELTS 5.5 / TOEFL 550

• a) Pass STPM/Matriculation/A-Level/Pre-University or equivalent, with at least a C (2.50 CGPA) in Biology/Physics and Chemistry, and pass SPM with five (5) credits including three (3) from Biology, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, and English; OR
• b) Diploma in a related field, with at least 2.75 CGPA, or if below 2.75, must have at least 3 years (36 months) working experience in a relevant field; OR
• c) Other qualifications recognized as equivalent.

International students: IELTS 6.00 or TOEFL 550 or equivalent
