Kudos to those who manage to secure places in the universities and courses of their choice. Meanwhile some of you may be accepted for courses that are not among your first choices. For such cases, students can appeal to the universities concerned to change course of study. Although successful appeals are rare, there is no harm trying.
There are yet those who may FAIL to get admissions. For these students, do not despair. When one door closes, another opens. Not getting accepted does not spell the end of your academic pathway.
If you don’t get an offer from the university you have set your heart on, here are some alternative options for you to ponder upon:
- Consider studying at private higher educational institutions. There are numerous private institutions in Malaysia offering a broad spectrum of attractive courses. - Gain industry experience by working full-time and then return to study for a bachelor degree course. As a mature student, universities and colleges will give you accreditation for work experience.
