An honour bestowed
June 16, 2015 | National NewsA graduation ceremony is a milestone in the life of a student and should not be taken lightly.
“The ceremony itself is full of tradition and is a standard by which other ceremonies are judged in the country," said University of Malaya (UM) deputy vice chancellor (academic and international)-cum-provost Professor Awang Bulgiba Awang Mahmud.
"Organising such an event requires coordination. Even the selection of the convocation date requires careful consideration as one needs to avoid clashes with important occasions or festivals, plus it needs the consent of the chancellor," he added.
